We took an unexpected week off to celebrate a surprise proposal for my sister! My sister, Katey, has been with her partner, Matt, for almost 20 years. Really, they have grown up together and have been with each other through thick and thin. My emotions, as her sister, were a rollercoaster through this process. So many fears, my own emotions, and even the stress of having to keep the proposal a secret... ultimately though, I am filled with so much joy! And I am so happy to have Matt and his family as an official addition to our family!
As we moved through the past week, I found myself contemplating marriage frequently. Not just physical marriage; but marriage from the spiritual lens as well.
There is a unique energy to a marriage or a partnership that transcends into the spiritual. Often times the energy created through the alchemy of two people displaying their affections in the physical, will express itself in the astral as well. You become a unit, working together. (A curious side note: Many feel they are alone or without their partner in the astral. Unbeknownst to them, it's the physical bond between them and their chosen partner that fuels their ability to move through the spiritual.)
Your partner here is often reflected as your partner there. Many times one partner "anchors" or grounds while the other delves into the spiritual depths and wisdom bringing information/energy back to the unit. When appropriate, they flip allowing the other partner to explore the spiritual while the opposite one anchors. (This can also display itself in deep and long term friendships.)
However, there are also spiritual marriages that never descend into the physical...or are slow moving into the physical! Often they have little to do with your chosen physical partner. These can be infuriating to those that interact with the spiritual as a physical experience. It can feel overwhelming and in some cases even wrong, to explore other physical relationships. These marriages are soul marriages. (This can be connected to the Twin Flame energy; but not always.) Soul marriages are a collaboration or joint effort in a soul purpose. AND! Just like in real life, you can go through soul separations and divorces based on your journey, evolution, or life track.
Across the board, whether it is a soul marriage, a twin flame bond, or a physical relationship; the spiritual regards marriage as a very sacred and powerful energy. Afterall, two people are stronger then one! The power of love is real!
