Freedom of Choice

Freedom of choice is different from free will. Having free will does not immediately translate to freedom of choice, though we are led to believe it does.

When it comes to the spiritual, as human beings on planet Earth, we all have free will and no spiritual being is allowed to take our free will away. True! When presented with choices, we get to choose the one we prefer. True! We choose which of the presented pathways we wander down. True!

Because we are immersed in the activity of living in our three-dimensional reality which is defined in linear terms of time, space, and separation (not connectiveness), we never realize that our choice was based on a list of choices presented to us. A perfect example is the guidance that a parent offers a child.

He/she offers the child two choices on where to lay down and take a nap. The parent allows the child to experience free will in picking the venue of napping, but the napping is inevitable. I could phrase it another way, the child’s fate is to take a nap! Not taking a nap is not an option. (How many of us have tried to pick an option that is not presented and hit a brick wall? I know I have. I know that all the children who refused to take the nap probably did!)

There is purpose here. I view free will as the learning ground for freedom of choice.

In the playground of spiritual free will, we learn the consequences of our choices. We learn how our choices affect us and others. Initially, we learn the physical consequences, and then eventually we become aware of the energetic consequences/ripples. We eventually learn to take responsibility and accountability for our choices. BINGO, we are evolving.

Next, we start anticipating what the long-range ripples of our choices, both physically and energetically. When we reach this state of awareness, we are ready to take on the hefty responsibility of freedom of choice. True freedom of choice involves looking at all the opportunities, and their energetic ripple, as well as physical consequences, before making any decision on the viable choices. Basically, we come into our own; we are our own parent now and we make the list of choices to choose from.

Welcome, you are in the consciousness of the fifth dimension.
